Two Bonded Kittens Have Home

Right now is a time of year where many cat rescue organizations get very busy.  It is the time of year where many kittens come into rescue.  I told you the story of two adorable kittens named Mouse and WiFi and how lucky they were.

Today I want to share the story of another happy cat rescue from the San Diego Humane Society.  Like Mouse and WiFi, this story involves two orphaned kittens.  They were not from the same litter, but now they may as well be.

Sprinkles and Leprechaun

Sprinkles was one of the very first kittens to make it to the San Diego Humane Society’s kitten nursery this kitten season.  She was in bad shape.  Her umbilical cord had wrapped around her leg, and it cut off the circulation.  And she hadn’t eaten in a while, so she was in a very vulnerable state.

Even though Sprinkles was getting very good care from humans in white coats and volunteers, she still was a sad cat.  That’s when she was introduced to another orphan kitten, named Leprechaun.

These two bonded almost immediately, and they became very good furiends.  Having Leprechaun by her side made Sprinkles much happier, and her recovery progressed.  She made so much progress that she was recently spayed and this once sad kitten became available for adoption.  Of course, she had to go with her furiend, Leprechaun.

Many humans heard about this happy cat rescue and wanted to complete the story.  Well, one lucky human was selected as the one who would give Sprinkles and Leprechaun a home.

This human is a very brave one, having served in combat and being injured during her service.  Because of this, she knew that Sprinkles and her would share a special bond.  And she is a very caring human, who volunteers to help her fellow veterans who are suffering from PTSD.

A Happy Cat Rescue for Sprinkles and Leprechaun

Sprinkles and Leprechaun have settled into their new home, complete with a king size bed to romp in and their own room!  As you can see from the pictures, they are very happy to have found a furever home.  And I am very happy to share this cat rescue story with you.

I have shared these two happy cat rescue stories with you for another reason.  Some of you may know that the human is opening The Cat Cafe.  He will be working with the organization that made these rescues possible to save more cats.  Please help him by becoming a contributor to the crowd funding campaign.  If you have already given, please consider giving again.  And if you haven’t and think your contribution is too small, it is not.
