Good morning, kind humans. I hope you are having a good day. Jacey, Marley, and I are a little disappointed because lately, we have not been able to work on our fur tans. We have had a lot of those water droplets falling from the sky recently. The human tells me that we need it. But we felines do not like it when our sun puddles are replaced with water puddles.
It is time for me to tell you what is happening with my blood sugar readings. You will remember that last week, we started to see some effects from changing my dosing levels. We are still seeing some fluctuations in my blood sugar levels, but the important thing is that my readings are starting to trend down.
For the week, my blood sugar readings averaged 221, which is down from the 229 we saw last week. The low reading for the week was one that made the human check my blood sugar a few hours after he gave me my insulin. It was 56. The high reading was far higher than we like to see, coming in at 348.
It takes a little bit of time for blood sugar readings to stabilize after a change in dosing, and I am hopeful that will occur with me. Both the human and I want to see us get those readings down just a little more.
But do not worry about me. Even if the readings stay around this level, it is something that my body can handle indefinitely. The readings I am seeing are far below those where my blood sugar has to be taken down quickly.
The human is being patient with me, and I have learned to tolerate these insulin shots and ear sticks to test my blood sugar levels. So it is not too bad.
