The human tells me that today is the day that many of you humans go to that place called work. I tell him he spends too much time at that place. Then he reminds me that he is helping to find many felines homes when he goes to that place. I should be jealous because he is spending time with felines besides me, Jacey, and Marley, but I suppose I will allow it because he is helping them.
I do not work, except on my fur tan, and I think I will be able to do that today since the sun is shining. You do not know how frustrated Jacey, Marley, and I get when there is May Gray or June Gloom and we cannot work on our fur tans!
I hope that my fur tan starts to look as good as my blood sugar readings this week. We had a good week, my furiends! My blood sugar levels averaged 156 this week, which is down from the 211 we saw last week.
What is even better about my blood sugar readings this week is that we did not see any readings that made the human worry about me going into a hypoglycemic state. We did have one blood sugar reading that was higher than we like, but it was only one. And the next reading was much better, so the human and I are not worried about it.
I have finally started to accept that I will not get any more crunchy noms. I did not like it at first, because I enjoyed the crunchy noms. But it is clear that going to wet food only has helped get my diabetes under control. I suppose I will grudgingly say that the human did a good thing.
I hope you have a good week, furiends, and I will update you on my blood sugar readings next week.
