It was a good weekend for me and Jacey. The skies cleared up, so we got to work on our fur tans a little. The human warned us that we might get another bengal in the home, but in the end, someone adopted her so she did not come to our house. Furiends, this bengal was not calm and relaxed like Marley so it would have been more chaotic than it already is here.
The poor human would never have gotten any rest if he brought that bengal in here! Jacey and I would have loved it, of course, but it would not have been good for the human.
The rain did not seem to do much good for my blood sugar readings, though. They went up a little bit. For the week, my blood sugar readings averaged 215. That is higher than we like because it is above the 200 level we want to keep the averages below. It is not above the 250 where problems can occur if my blood sugar stays above there for too long. But is is higher than we want. And it is higher than the 192 we saw last week.
The human was unable to get readings twice this week, because the lancets were not in. We had to wait for them to come in, so the human treated it like he would have if he went away for a few days. He just gave me my normal four unit dose and left it at that.
We are going to do everything we can to get my blood sugar levels to a spot that we like better. Although these readings are not bad, they are not where we want them to be and we will work hard on getting them to where we want them to be.
I wonder if having a third active bengal in here would have helped.
