September 10 Blood Sugar Readings

Hello, furiends. It is time for me to tell you about my blood sugar readings for the week. Before I do that, I want to share with you some good news. You know that a horrible hurricane hit Florida over the weekend. One of the places that was going to be hit hard is the Hemingway House, where there are 54 polydactyl cats.

These felines needed help, and the humans who work at the Hemingway House decided they would do this. Instead of leaving the area, they decided to take shelter at the home. They fortified the house, and prepared for the storm to hit.

'As our staff member, Nicole Navarro was confirming all cats were accounted for, the cat Grace Kelly (pictured) took over roll call,' staff members wrote on the home's Facebook page Saturday night

Many humans worried about these kind humans and the felines they protected. They worried that the Hemingway House would be destroyed. Fortunately, the 16 inch thick stone house and everyone in it survived. They lost power and internet service, and conditions are bad. But they are alive and well, furiends!

Now on to my blood sugar readings for the week. For the week, my blood sugar readings averaged 201. That is pretty much the same as last week, when they averaged 197. Both of those readings are good, and they make me happy.

That does not mean things were perfect, though. We had a couple of days where my blood sugar levels dropped to levels lower than we want. The human skipped my insulin shot when that happened. And then, naturally, my blood sugar levels jumped. We got them back under control, which is why my average was pretty much the same as last week.

Still, we do not like it when my blood sugar levels drop too low. I quickly correct this by eating noms. But the human still worries when he sees low blood sugar levels. And I do not like it when the human worries about me. Hopefully, this week, that will not happen.
