Good morning, furiends. It is a little chilly outside these days. I know those of you who are living in places where it is very cold do not have much sympathy for us. But it is too cold for the human to allow us felines to go to the balcony. And when we do sneak out, we run back in quickly because we do not like how cold it is.
Another thing we do not like about having to keep the door and window closed is that we do not get the fresh air we are used to getting. But the human opens the window in the morning. When he does this, we get to enjoy the fresh air. That makes us happy.
This is not a big deal, though. We like it better when we can enjoy the fresh air, but we do not get mad when we cannot. I tell Jacey and Koji that where I used to live, the human mostly kept the doors and windows closed all year round. They do not believe me but it is true!
Now, on to my blood sugar readings for the week. They averaged 202, which is pretty much the same as what they averaged the week before. Those blood sugar readings averaged 205. We seem to have settled into a nice, comfortable range with my blood sugar levels.
Oh, sure, there are individual fluctuations and there are times where the human cannot give me any insulin because he worries that my blood sugar levels will crash. But that is okay. That does not cause me any real harm. The important thing is to keep them consistently at a level where I do not suffer any health consequences.
It is not always easy for humans with diabetic cats to do this. But it is something the human is committed to making happen and he does a good job of it!
