Hello, furiends. It is a chilly morning here! The human closed the window because it dropped down into the 40s last night. That is too cold for us felines to enjoy. Koji and I are not happy, because we are not able to work on our fur tans. But we are hopeful that when the sun shines in to our home, we will be able to enjoy the sun then.
Do not forget, furiends. If it is this chilly here, then it is even colder in other places. And when it gets cold, felines that live outside like to find warm spots. For many felines, that means they will crawl into the hood of a car. Or they may crawl into the wheel well. Sometimes, when you humans start the cars, these poor felines get caught and get severely injured.
Be kind to felines and other animals who may seek your car out for warmth. Thump on the hood before you get in the car and give any animals that may be in there a moment to escape.
Now on to my blood sugar readings. For the week, my blood sugar readings averaged 199. That is pretty much the same as what we saw last week, when they averaged 198. We seem to have settled into a state where my blood sugar readings average around 200. That is a little higher than we like, but it is not so high that we would worry about complications from diabetes.
Most important to me and the human, though, is that we did not see any blood sugar readings that were really low. You see, diabetes can cause problems if it is not controlled for a long time. But low blood sugar can be deadly very quickly.
We did not see anything like that this week, and I hope it stays that way! I will let you know next Monday, furiends!
