Hello, kind humans. I hope you are having a good day. It is time for me to share my blood sugar readings with you. I will also tell you about the visit Jacey and I made to the white coated humans. Do not worry, we were not sick. It was just time for our annual check up.
Jacey and I went to the white coated humans last Wednesday. Both of us were calm during the car ride over, although Jacey did complain a lot. But it did not surprise me when Jacey complained. She likes to talk, so of course she told the human and me she was not happy about being in the carrier!
When we got to the white coated humans, Jacey went first. After her exam, she let them draw blood from her, and even let them check out her ears a second time. She did not struggle much, but she did complain. I was very different. I did not complain verbally. Instead, I worked hard to escape and swatted at the white coated humans. The human had to scruff me so that they could look at me. And it took a lot of work for them to draw my blood.
But it was all worth it to the human. Jacey’s blood work showed that my sisfur is very healthy and in good condition. But mine showed that the human has more work to do in order to get my blood sugar levels to a point where they’re considered well managed. And he will do that work, furiends!
Now, on to my blood sugar levels themselves. For the week, they averaged 184. That is a little higher than last week, when they averaged 175. Still, the human and I do not mind this. As long as the average stays below 200, we think it is okay. And the human is committed to making sure we get my blood sugar well managed!
I will tell you about this next week, furiends. Until then, enjoy your week!
