Hello, furiends. It has been two weeks since I told you about my blood sugar readings. That is because the human made a mistake. He did not realize that we were getting low on blood sugar testing strips. And because of this, we had to drop to only one blood sugar reading per day for the week before.
This is not ideal, and it did not give us enough information for us to tell you about my blood sugar readings for the week before. But do not worry, furiends. It is not like I was ever at risk. The human was able to monitor my blood sugar levels still. And while it is not enough information for telling about my blood sugar levels, it is still enough to make sure I’m not doing poorly.
But now that I am getting my blood sugar tested twice a day, I am able to tell you about my readings for the week. For the week, they averaged 180. That is higher than what we saw a few weeks ago, when they averaged 157. Still, this is a solid blood sugar average. We want my blood sugar levels to average less than 200. If that happens, then we know the long term effects of high blood sugar levels will not occur.
The one thing that concerned the human was when I had some blood sugar readings that were very low. He did not give me any insulin when that happened. And when that happened, I had several soft stools that were very smelly. That made the human worried I was going through another battle with pancreatitis.
But my blood sugar recovered, and the soft and smelly stools were replaced with regular ones. So that is good news. And now that I am able to tell you about my blood sugar readings once again, I hope I give you good news next week!
