Furiends, a feline who is 17 years old is a feline who has lived a long life. For Jax, ten of those years have been spent with Hilton Head Humane Association, in a shelter. Now, this is not a horrible life. And he is clearly loved there. But Jax, just like all felines, would like a home of his own.
Many humans have come to take a look at Jax, but they get scared when they learn he has to get insulin twice a day. Furiends, the insulin shots are not difficult. I do not even look up from nomming when I get them. I do not like the ear sticks to test my blood sugar, but I have learned to tolerate even those.
You might be wondering why Hilton Head Humane Association is trying to find a home for Jax after ten years. Isn’t that his home, Bagheera, might be the question that is running through your head.
Well, furiends, for some felines, this would be the case. But the humans at the shelter do not think it is for Jax. Jax, you see, is affectionate, smart, and most importantly, adaptable. He adjusts to new things quickly and does not worry too much about them.
And that is why he would be a good addition to virtually any home. If you have space in your home for Jax, please contact Hilton Head Humane Association. And if you do not, please share his story so that someone can take him home.
